Therapy Fees

The fee paid for a therapy session covers costs to continue delivering a sustainable service.

Think about how often you wish to attend therapy and the budget for this each month, the frequency you wish to meet, as well as if you want to cap the number of sessions you’re looking for.  The same service is provided regardless of the fee tier most appropriate for you. You can review each point on the scale to see which option best aligns with your present circumstances and current availability.

All prices below are per 50-minute session for individual therapy.  The standard fee for our service is £95.

1 – £110 per session: Community care fee (plus insurance and employer/organisation funded clients) (available)

  • I am comfortably able to meet all my basic needs

  • I am employed, have a regular income, or do not need to work to meet my needs

  • I have access to financial savings and/or other assets

  • I have expendable income

  • I can afford at least one annual holiday or to take time off work

  • Therapy is funded or part-funded through health insurance

  • Therapy is funded or part-funded via an employer or other organisation

2 – £95 per session: Standard fee (available)

  • I can meet my basic needs

  • I am employed or have a regular income or may not need to work to meet my needs

  • I might have access to financial savings or other assets

  • I have some expendable income

  • I can buy new items almost all of the time

  • I can take a holiday or time off work without financial burden

3 – £80 per session: Concessionary fee (available)

  • I may stress about meeting basic needs but usually achieve them.

  • I am employed or have a regular income, but it mostly covers essentials.

  • I have very limited or no financial savings or assets to fall back on.

  • I have little expendable income

  • Buying new items or taking a holiday requires significant budgeting

What if none of these tiers fit?

If you are currently unable to meet your basic needs (such as secure housing, food, or utilities), or if paying the £80 rate would cause you immediate financial distress, I am unfortunately unable to offer fees below the concession rate. I suggest using the Counselling Directory, where you can filter specifically for local charities, low-cost clinics, and individual therapist fees that may better match your budget.

Trainee counselling psychologists: £55 (available)
To support the future of our profession, I maintain a capped number of slots exclusively for trainee counselling psychologists where the above tiers are not possible. Please contact me directly to check current availability.

  • I’m a trainee counselling psychologist and required to attend therapy

  • I frequently stress about meeting basic needs & don’t always achieve them

  • I have irregular income, regularly do low or unpaid work, or care for family/friends.

  • I have no access to savings

  • I have no or very limited expendable income
